SELENA SHELLEY
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, CHIEF TRAINING OFFICER,
& LEAD TRAINER
Selena Shelley, MA, LMHC, CD, LCCE, is a passionate leader committed to transforming systems of care for pregnant, birthing, and postpartum families so they may overcome trauma and ultimately thrive. Throughout her career, Selena has worked in nonprofit, social justice, and perinatal health organizations, often starting out in direct service roles and ending up directing the program. Whether that be working as a case manager for teen parents while co-managing the Washington State Teen Parent Coalition in her twenties; serving as a doula for Open Arms Perinatal Services’ families while also running their Birth Doula Services Program in her thirties; or providing consultations for pregnant and postpartum trauma survivors while becoming the lead When Survivors Give Birth trainer in her forties, it is an unmistakable pattern of impacting individuals while concurrently advancing the programs that serve them. Now with the blessing of her mentors Penny & Phyllis, she has taken the helm of the WSGB training program and organization.
